There are three ways your Payluk wallet balance can be credited, depending on your country of registration. Nigerian users have access to all three funding methods. Users from other supported countries are limited to crypto deposit only.

In all cases, your wallet balance is held and displayed in cNGN. When you deposit via card or bank transfer, the Naira equivalent is converted and credited as cNGN at a 1:1 rate. When you deposit via crypto, the received cNGN amount is credited directly to your balance.

Nigerian Users

Nigerian users can fund their wallets through any of the three methods below. All credited amounts are reflected in cNGN at a 1:1 parity with NGN.

1. Card Deposit

Fund your wallet instantly using a Nigerian debit or credit card. This is the fastest funding method, with balance updates typically occurring within seconds of a successful card charge.

2. Virtual Account

Every Nigerian Payluk user is assigned a dedicated virtual bank account number. You can fund your wallet by making a standard bank transfer to this account number from any Nigerian bank — via internet banking, mobile banking, USSD, or a bank teller.

3. Crypto Deposit

Nigerian users can also fund their wallets by sending cNGN from an external crypto wallet to their Payluk deposit address. This method is governed by the wallet whitelisting policy — only pre-approved sender addresses are accepted.

Crypto Deposit

International users fund their wallets by sending cNGN from a whitelisted external wallet address to their Payluk deposit address. The received amount is credited to their cNGN wallet balance after the required number of blockchain confirmations.

Things to note:

Only cNGN is accepted as a deposit token. Sending any other token to your Payluk deposit address — including USDT, ETH, BNB, or any other asset — will result in permanent loss of those funds. Payluk cannot recover unsupported tokens.
Deposits are credited after the minimum confirmation threshold for the selected network. This typically takes between 1 and 3 minutes depending on network conditions.
Gas fees for the sending transaction are borne by the sender. Payluk does not charge deposit fees on the receiving end.

Wallet Whitelisting Requirement

Crypto deposits on Payluk — for both Nigerian and international users — are subject to the wallet whitelisting policy. This means:

You must register the wallet address you intend to send from before initiating any crypto deposit.
Deposits from non-whitelisted addresses are automatically reverted. No balance is created.
